Hey. I'm Sarah-Marie.

I started photography as a child with a film camera and library books for trick photography. In 8th grade I won 2nd prize in a school wide contest for my image of The Portland Headlight in Maine. In high school I earned the special privelege of joining the upperclassman in the film class as only a lowly freshman, and by senior year, I worked at Sears Portrait Studio. I know. BIG time. I know you're impressed now.

I worked my way up to the general manager of Kiddie Kandids in Staten Island, NY, after working there for 3 years, and in 2009 I moved to Nashville and shot my first wedding the day I moved. I did weddings for 6 years before I discovered my true photography love-- newborns and families. I've specialized in them ever since.

My style is bright and natural, full of snuggles and smiles and as much character as we can muster. I'll make you laugh, put your husband at ease, and capture the attention of those kids any way I can. Mostly though, I just want to capture your family exactly as you are and preserve those moments you already know you never want to forget. My Process

1. Contact and Consult

To get started, simply send me a message on my contact page, and let me know what milestone or memory we are preserving. We will chat via email or phone, compare Pinterest boards, discuss outfits and visions, and plan the session that's right for your family. Since I shoot in my clients' homes, your session will be unique to you and a reflection of your life.

2. Photo Magic

My sessions are really painless! Your family is already comfortable in your home, so I'll just take a little time for you to get to know me (especially the kids) and then we will create! For newborns, I'll be making a cozy nook in your home, so no need to clean the whole house up. I'll encourage snuggles and laughter and we'll have a great time.

3. Delivery and Reveal

Within a few days of your session I will post a sneak peek. I'm just as excited as you are to see how it all comes together, so I get started right away and I can't help but share some favorites! I deliver photos in about 2 weeks in a beautiful gallery for you to share and download. I'm always game to choose layouts and collections for your wall too, and I LOVE designing coffee table books.
