Not to toot my own horn, but my boss has it made. I can’t think of a better combination than nanny+child photographer (well, maybe nanny+nurse or something). Plus it totally helps that her little boy is one of the cutest, most photogenic kids on the planet. I’ve been taking pictures of Evan since he was 18 months old, so he’s very used to me, and takes direction really well (future movie star?). We decided to pay mom and dad a hospital visit the day after their new baby girl was born, and since I’ve been wanting to get into videography a bit– in prep for my future children– I decided now would be the perfect time. I devised a plan to make a home life style movie about the hospital visit from the big brother’s perspective, and got to work on it! Now keep in mind that this is my very first time shooting video on my DSLR (which does not have automatic focus for video shooting, so it’s extra difficult), or editing video, so it’s a little rough. My focus is off a lot, and I need to work on my camera shake, but all in all, I’m very pleased with the final result. Check it out:
