O Christmas Tree || Spring Hill, TN

Caution: Horrible iPhone pictures ahead.

There’s been a debate in the Smith household (that’s my last name) for a few years now. Real vs. fake tree? Both arguments have valid points. Jason grew up with a artificial tree, and liked both the ease of the setup, and the heirloom-ishness of it all. I grew up picking out a new tree every year, and love the memory making aspects of it, and the amazing aroma all December long. Well, this was our first year with the space for a full sized tree, and we finally hashed it out. Jason decided that since his agenda was more about ease, and I agreed to do all the maintenance, that he would concede and have us get a real tree this year. It turns out he likes it! He thought the whole process was much more difficult than it really is.

We went to the Boy Scout Troop 16 in Spring Hill (next to Kroger Marketplace) and got a 7 foot tree for $50! They trimmed it for us and loaded it up on our car too 🙂 It was great and we’ll definitely go back. It was only lacking in hot chocolate…

We had to start from scratch this year, buying a tree skirt, ornaments and lights. I’m pretty happy with it though!

Ta da! Our Christmas living room.
